Conscious Breathwork is a dynamic practice using conscious breathing techniques to help you access the full potential of your breathing system for better physical, emotional and mental well-being.

The conscious connected breath (CCB) is a pattern of breathing that is used among breathwork coaches and therapists to help correct dysfunctional breathing patterns and support personal development. This pattern is a natural, safe and easy-to-learn technique with multiple proven benefits, including increased energy levels, better stress management and a stronger immune system.

 

Our modern day-to-day life is typically filled with stressful periods and other experiences that create tension in the body. When the tension remains prolonged in the body without a release, it leads to physical, mental and emotional blockages.

 

Breathwork prevents tension and helps to release blockages in the body, which can be seen in positive shifts in your life, energy and relationships.

Breathing is directly linked to the way how you feel, think and react. When life brings us emotionally and mentally triggering experiences, we have the tendency to hold our breath to cope with overwhelming feelings. When this behavior is repeated, it causes restrictions in breathing. Everyone reacts in a different way that makes them breathe differently.

Our lungs take in around 20.000 breaths a day but the majority of the population uses only a fraction of their lungs, in fact, most of us use only 34% of the respiration capacity. 

 

Restricted and improper breathing increases the risk for breathing-related physical, mental and emotional disorders and ill health.

 

Breathwork offers you an effective tool to open up restrictive breathing patterns that you can access your full breathing capacity and better health.

The intention of a breath coaching session on a physical level is to teach you a full, connected diaphragmatic breath and correct any restricting breathing patterns. As a result, several organs and tissues around the diaphragm receive activating massage, which improves their function and detoxification.

 

Your breathing pattern is observed to locate restrictions that are then addressed to raise awareness on how it impacts your life. This is followed by gentle acupressure style touch to map out any blockages with added movement, sound and positive affirmations to help the breath open and flow freely. 

 

Conscious breathwork is a safe way to integrate blockages, old stories and emotional baggage that as a result creates more balance, harmony, and well-being in all areas of life. Continuing the practice will strengthen the diaphragm, our main breathing muscle that supports the breath to stay open and less restricted. Followed by benefits including a happier state of mind, calmer presence and ease of flow with life.

 

Breathwork is a lifelong tool that is easy to learn in a few sessions. Once the skill is firmly established, it’s always with us when most needed.
